WARNING: TOWING REQUIREMENTS
before picking up your trailer
TOW VEHICLE — Your vehicle must have a towing capacity sufficient for the trailer and the load you plan to carry. Never exceed your vehicle’s manufacturer-rated towing capacity.
BRAKE CONTROLLER — If the rented trailer is equipped with electric brakes, your tow vehicle must have a properly functioning trailer brake controller.
HITCH & BALL — A properly rated receiver hitch and correctly sized trailer ball are required. All hitch components must be secure and in safe working condition.
SAFETY CHAINS — Safety chains must be crossed underneath the trailer tongue and securely attached to the tow vehicle before departure.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTION — Your vehicle must have a compatible trailer wiring connection with functioning brake lights, turn signals, and running lights.
FINAL SAFETY CHECK — Before leaving, verify that the coupler is locked onto the ball, hitch pin is installed, safety chains are connected, electrical wiring is plugged in, trailer lights work, and the trailer jack is fully raised.
The renter is responsible for ensuring their vehicle is properly equipped and rated to safely tow the trailer.
